Opening ceremony with the Mayor of Osaka

On April 13, the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan was officially opened at Expo 2025 in Osaka. It began with a ribbon cutting ceremony. It was attended by Gayane Umerova, Commissioner of the Pavilion and Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Yokoyama Hideyuki, the Mayor of Osaka, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan, and Shirin Frangoul-Brückner, architect of this project.

After the ceremony, a tour of the Pavilion was organised for the honoured guests - the Mayor of Osaka City Yokoyama Hideyuki and earlier on Nakagawa Gen, Mayor of Nara City. The guests were accompanied by Lebanese designer Nada Debs. The participants of the visit got acquainted with the architectural concept and the exposition reflecting the cultural heritage, sustainable development and innovative future of Uzbekistan.
