The dance ensemble of the Karakalpak branch of the Philharmonic Society of the Republic of Uzbekistan performed a vivid and memorable programme at the Uzbekistan pavilion at the international exhibition Expo 2025.
The group, consisting of professional dancers, presented the audience a real extravaganza of national dance art. The performance of the legendary ‘Andijan Polka’ - one of the most recognisable folk dances of Uzbekistan - was a special delight. The guests of the pavilion watched with admiration the virtuoso performance, which conveyed the energy, rhythm and colour of Uzbek culture.
In addition to classical performances, the ensemble amazed the audience with a modern interpretation of traditional dance elements harmoniously combined with contemporary music. This bold combination caused a storm of applause and emphasised the living evolution of the country's cultural heritage.
Special attention was also drawn to the folk dances of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which were presented with great authenticity and love for national traditions. The ensemble's performance became a bright cultural highlight of the programme of the Uzbekistan Pavilion at Expo 2025, once again demonstrating the richness and diversity of Uzbek choreography.
